Migmar Tsering, an accomplished singer and player of dramyin - a long-necked, seven-stringed lute - is a Tibetan refugee who has lived in Vermont since 2011.

Harold Luce of Chelsea, VT learned to play fiddle as a boy in the 1930s and performed as a member of the Ed Larkin Contra Dancers from 1933 up until his death in 2014. In 2007 folklorist Andy Kolovos recorded Harold and his accompanist, Adam Boyce, in Chelsea, VT.

"Springfield Mountain" (Laws G16) is a widely-distributed American folksong that details the story of a young man who dies of a rattlesnake bite.  This version was performed by Fred Atwood and recorded in 1964.
