John G. Kristensen
John G. Kristensen of Guilford, Windham County, Democrat, was born in New York, New York on March 31, 1924 and became a resident of present town in 1952. Occupation: attorney. He was educated in elementary schools in Valley Stream, New York; Central High School, Valley Stream, New York; Ursinus College, Collegeville, Pennsylvania (B.S., 1974); Harvard Law School, Cambridge, Massachusetts (LL.B., 1950). Member of: Judicial Conduct Board, 1987-93; Town Moderator, 1975-present; Brattleboro Union High School Moderator, 1984-present; Guilford Town Democratic Committee; Vermont Bar Association, president, 1985-86; Vermont State Board of Education, 1961-67; Guilford School Board, 1956-69; former member of state and county Democratic committees. He served as a law clerk for federal judge and former Governor Ernest W. Gibson, 1952-53. He is married to the former Calista R. Elliot, and they have three daughters and two sons. Member of the House: 1993-94 (seated February 2, 1993), 1995-96, 1997-98.
