The Pride 1983 exhibit looks at the beginnings of Pride—and some of its precursors—here in the Green Mountain State. But the LGBTQ+ community is diverse, and perspectives on the role of Pride celebrations differ between people—and have certainly evolved over time.

To learn more about how people think about Pride today, VFC and the Pride Center of Vermont are reaching out to hear your response to the question: “What does Pride mean to you?”

All you have to do is make a recording and submit it. With your permission it will become part of a collection in the VFC Archive associated with the Pride 1983 exhibit, potentially be be shared through VFC and Pride Center of Vermont social media channels as part of Pride celebrations, and possibly even become part of the Pride 1983 exhibit!

How to participate:

  • Make a solo recording on your phone - record your answer on your smartphone or an audio recorder and upload it using the form below.
