The focus is on exploring ensemble playing and developing creativity in folk music. Learn great tunes and how to accompany them, make harmonies and build a groove! We'll work in both small and large groups, and there are simpler and more complex lines accommodating a range of abilities.

We'll work in both small and large groups, so you'll also have the chance to bring any tunes you already know and create performances of them with your bandmates!
Fiddleheads Semester with Sarah King
Join Sarah King for a semester of Fiddleheads sessions for beginner to intermediate fiddle players.
This 4-month “Semester” will include 8 sessions from 1-2pm on the first and third Saturdays of the month, from January to April 2014.

Fiddleheads Session with Dominique Dodge
Join harper and singer Dominique Dodge for an in person Fiddleheads workshop at the Monteverdi Music School in Montpelier on Saturday, June 17th from 10:30am to noon. This will be followed by a rehearsal and performance of the music learned at the Carolan Festival in Worcester, VT on Saturday the 24th from 3:00 to 4:30 pm.
Fiddleheads Session with Sarah Hotchkiss!
Join fiddle instructor Sarah Hotchkiss for an in person Fiddleheads workshop on Saturday June 10 & 17 at 1 - 2pm at Vermont Violins.
Sarah will be reviewing a set of tunes that will be performed at 12:30 pm on June 23rd with the band Poor Cousins as part of the BCA summer concert series, as well as teaching new tunes to participants. Beginners and early intermediate fiddlers are welcome.
