Vermont Reads 2022 Kickoff Discussion

Vermont Humanities has selected the Vermont Folklife Center’s newly published book, The Most Costly Journey: Stories of Migrant Farmworkers in Vermont Drawn by New England Cartoonists, as its Vermont Reads title for 2022. Join Vermont Humanities on July 14 at 118 Elliot in Brattleboro to kickoff Vermont Reads 2022. The event will feature a panel discussion exploring migration, farming, mental health, cartooning, and the Latinx farmworker experience in Vermont with Most Costly Journey editors Julia Doucet (Open Door Clinic), Andy Kolovos (Vermont Folklife Center), and cartoonist Marek Bennett.

This in-person presentation will be live streamed and recorded so those who can’t attend may view it.
