Prisoners of War

The Prisoners of War: A Story of Four American Soldiers audio documentary was produced by independent radio producer, Erica Heilman, and Vermont Folklife Center Director of Education and Folklorist, Gregory L. Sharrow. The program was engineered by Scott Gillette.

The original interviews that form the heart of this program were conducted by Gregory L. Sharrow and Erica Heilman under the auspices of the Vermont Folklife Center for the Veterans History Project of the Library of Congress. We extend our warmest thanks to Cliff Austin, Harrison Burney, Bill Busier, Jim Dooley, Elden Marks, Robert Norton and their families.

Full audio and transcripts of the interviews conducted for this project, as well as images and ephemera, are available to researchers at the Vermont Folklife Center Archive in Middlebury, VT.
