Thomas P. Salmon
Thomas P. Salmon of Rockingham, Democrat, was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on August 19, 1932 and located to town in 1959. Occupation: attorney at law. He was educated at Hudson High School (Mass.) 1950; Boston College (A.B. 1954); Boston College Law School (LL.B. 1957); New York University Law School (LL.M. [Taxation] 1958). Member: Rotary Club; elks; Moose; Knights of Columbus; Chamber of Commerce and American, Vermont and Windham County Bar Association; member of executive committee, Vermont Trial Lawyers Association. He is also president, Bellows Falls Area Development Corporation; member, advisory board of Bellows Falls Branch-Vermont National Bank; trustee, Rockingham Memorial Hospital; Temporary Advisory Commission on School District Reorganization, 1966. He has been town counsel for Rockingham since 1959 and justice of peace for the same period, appointed Bellows Falls Municipal Judge in 1963. Member of the House from Rockingham in 1965, and from District 13-1 for 1966, 1967-68 and 1969-70. Served as Governor from 1973-1977.
