Wolk, David S. of Rutland, Rutland County, Democrat, was born in Rutland, Vermont on March 26, 1953 and became resident of present town in 1990. Occupation: President of Castleton State College: He was educated in elementary schools in Rutland, Vermont; graduated from Rutland High school, Rutland, Vermont; Middlebury College, Middlebury, Vermont, (B.A., 1975); University of Vermont (M.Ed., 1976); Harvard University (Doctoral Candidate). He has one daughter and one son. Member of: Vermont Headmasters Association; Teacher Shortage Task Force; UVM Vermont Council; Vermont Student Assistance Corporation; board of directors; former Rutland City alderman and Justice of the Peace. He was chosen Vermont Legislator of the Year by the Vermont Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers, 1990; Vermont Principle of the Year, 1988. He served on following committees during the 1989-90 session: Judiciary; Education; Joint Fiscal; Judicial Retention; DWI Legislative Study Committee, chair. Member of the Senate: 1989-90, 1991-92.
